For our previous members who did make it to our first meeting of this school year, as well as the new memebers who joined, thank you and we hope that you enjoy a fun filled year of United Students. As for those members who were not able to make it to the meeting, we hope that you can make it this Monday, August 31, 2008 at 5:30 pm in the basement of Montgomery hall.
During our meeting we discussed:
- The Student Involement Fair
- Wednesday, August 26th
- 11 am - 2 pm
- On the drill field in front of Allen
- New poster board design/update
- Need new pictures
- Updated information
- Disability Awareness Month
- The panels will mostly likely be held on the 15th, and 29th of October
- Creswell and Hull at 6:30
- The disability fair booth, if able, will be on the 22nd of October
- On the drill field between 10:30 and 2:30

We discussed:
- The Disabilities Awareness Fair
Date: 22nd October 2008
Time: 11:00 am - 1: 00 pm
Location: Drill Field
- Two programs in the residence halls of Hull and Creswell.
- Programs: Quiz Bowl and Discussion Panel to discuss.
- Objective: To discuss Accessibility edict and to educate about different disabilities.
- The Day One program offered to give three hundred dollars and we decided to use it refreshments for the program.
- Creswell Hall
Date: 15st October 2008 (not official)
Time: 6:00 pm
- Bulletin Board for Disabilities Awareness Month
- We are going to have a bulletin board displayed in the Hull lobby.
- Marketing Strategy for all Programs for disabilities Awareness month
- Mass MSU e-mail: Tiffany will prepare this.
- Fliers: Brittney and Madeline from Day One will prepare this.
- An advertisement in the Reflector: Matt will prepare this.

Greetings! We want to let you know that we are getting ready to begin a new school year. We will post here as soon as we confirm our first official meeting. To those of you who contacted us over the summer, we thank you for your interest. You should receive an email about our first meeting soon. It will also be posted here.
We are looking forward to a successful year. But to achieve it, we will need big ideas and dedicated people. If you would like to help improve the college experience for students with disabilities and/or you are a student who has a disability, consider joining United Students.
